I've always taken the road less traveled, carving out a path that's uniquely mine. Instead of boring you with endless stories of tour buses, lost love, and life lessons, I'd rather share a simple sentiment: Look back and smile at your former self. Celebrate the person you have become. You're here now! Work hard, save wisely, be kind, and love deeply.
A quick glimpse into my past: I was raised in Tampa, FL, by two unconventional free-thinkers. My father, Cy Warner, born in 1926, was a visionary business owner in California and Florida. He co-founded the Valley Music Theater in Woodland Hills, CA, with legends Bob Hope and Art Linkletter, and built the Warner Playhouse in Hollywood. My mother, an English and Latin major, instilled a love for grammar and diction in me from a young age. She remains an incredibly talented artist, comedian, and an endless source of inspiration.
As a teenager, I dreamed of becoming a war journalist, aspiring to join the ranks of Dan Rather and Diane Sawyer on 60 Minutes. However, life had other plans. I soon found myself trading the challenging path of serious journalism for the excitement of touring with rock bands. What began as a seasonal gig as a touring writer quickly turned into steady work—an impressive feat for someone in their late teens and early twenties.
This unexpected detour into the world of music and travel set the stage for my future. After returning to Florida and seeking a change from the shallow social pools of Southern California, I decided to, once again, redirect my talents. A close friend suggested I explore ad agency life, which turned out to be the perfect fit. Encouraged by his advice, I embraced the advertising world, diving headfirst into crafting creative copy (how’s that for alliteration), and began adding feathers to my cap. I've been thriving in this field ever since.
